{"id":1380,"date":"2017-08-20T06:46:58","date_gmt":"2017-08-20T10:46:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dios.wenodev.com\/2017\/08\/20\/campagne-de-terrain-du-systeme-a-grande-echelle-or-argent-cuivre-du-projet-k2\/"},"modified":"2019-11-21T20:37:03","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T01:37:03","slug":"campagne-de-terrain-du-systeme-a-grande-echelle-or-argent-cuivre-du-projet-k2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.diosexplo.com\/en\/2017\/08\/20\/campagne-de-terrain-du-systeme-a-grande-echelle-or-argent-cuivre-du-projet-k2\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer campaign on large-scale K2 gold-silver-copper system"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h3>AUGUST 10, 2017<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Summer campaign on large-scale K2 gold-silver-copper system<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MONTR\u00c9AL<\/strong><strong>, QUEBEC, CANADA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0<strong>DIOS EXPLORATION<\/strong>\u00a0is pleased to report summer campaign is in progress on<strong>\u00a0large-scale K2 gold-silver-copper system,\u00a0<\/strong>Lower Eastmain James Bay area, Quebec.\u00a0 Exploration program will target three main areas:<\/p>\n<p><strong>a- \u00a0Attila gold-copper-silver showings area\u00a0<\/strong>(see website for result maps)<\/p>\n<p><strong>b- \u00a0Western (inputs\/vtem) conductor area\/target<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>c- \u00a0Magnetic tilt target along the SW margin of Kali plug<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a-\u00a0 The Attila showing in rhyodacitic flows<\/strong>\u00a0that yielded 10 samples with values between 1 and 8.08 g\/t gold associated with silver (1.5 to 96.7 g\/t silver)\u00a0 and copper (0.12 to 2.40% copper) is composed of sulphides (chalcopyrite and pyrite) and quartz-carbonate-chlorite stockworks. It is also located in the vicinities of the NW Kali fault.\u00a0 Limited past work shows gold-in-soil anomalies (also copper-zinc) near Attila showings and Kali fault:\u00a0<strong>DIOS<\/strong>\u00a0will further prospect and extend soil sampling east and south, including over some untested VLF conductors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>b-<\/strong>\u00a0 At\u00a0<strong>western limit of K2 project<\/strong>\u00a0(6 km west of Attila), previous airborne geophysical surveys outlined a poorly outcropping two kilometer long (9 inputs &amp; vtem anomalies) conductor at margin of Kali plug and adjacent felsic volcanics.\u00a0 No prospecting or follow-up are filed.\u00a0 Prospecting and reconnaissance (b-horizon) soil-sampling will be completed over poorly outcropping western conductor. \u00a0Standard prospecting\/ mapping will also be carried out. Due to possible lack of rock outcrops, special attention will be put on glacial floats along conductor target.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>c-<\/strong>\u00a0 Previous\u00a0<strong>DIOS\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0field program confirmed spatial relationship between most of K2 gold-copper-silver sulphidic mineralization and the margin of a specific magnetic volcanic unit underlying a flattened rhyodacitic dome.\u00a0<strong>Magnetic tilt<\/strong>\u00a0suggests a\u00a0 similar favourable volcanic environment is extending west for 4 to 5 kilometers along Kali sub-volcanic intrusion. Follow-ups along this geophysical marker\/target are in progress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DIOS<\/strong>\u00a0is looking forward to pursue exploration work on K2, Lower Eastmain near Opinaca Sub-province.\u00a0 Eleonore Gold Mine is in the Lower Eastmain near Opinaca sub-province.
