SHADOW & LE CARON: The second target area consists of two favourable kimberlite indicator mineral trains that include G11 garnet, Kosmochlor and Fosterites. The indicators are centered within a 7 x 7 kilometer area stopping just down-ice of a regional northwest striking diabase dyke (a large deep intra-continental structure belonging to the Mistassini diabase cluster and similar to the large structures associated with the Renard diamond deposit). Numerous north-northwest, northwest and northsouth topograghic lineaments are visible in the area.

the SHADOW project is located about 10-30 km North-Northeast of Hydro-Quebec EM-1 hydropower plant, about 45 km south of Goldcorp Eleonore gold deposit, and about 10-15 km NW of Eastmain Resources Clearwater gold deposit. An east-west access trail also follows the southern boundary of the property, forking to the north along the Eleonore electric line from the EM-1 dam. The project could be worked by helicopter from EM-1 camp (accessible by gravel road, 67km north of Nemaska, James Bay, Quebec).

12 geochemical gold-arsenic-copper in humus anomalies

Very significant humus values up to  45.7 ppb gold, 40.6 ppb Au, 23.3 ppb Au, 13.9 ppb Au, 9.7 ppb Au, 9.4 ppb Au,  9.1 ppb Au,  8.2 ppb Au, 7.5 ppb Au, 6.4 ppb Au.

DIOS delineated significant gold targets following soil geochemical surveying over a poorly outcropping area upice of a gold glacial dispersal train of  its Shadow South gold project, in the emerging Opinaca-Eastmain gold area.

In June 2012, DIOS commissioned an independent soil (humus) geochemical survey, over a 4 x1.5 km grid (1 472 samples). This grid encompasses  a volcanosedimentary rock sequence wrapped around a 5 x 2 km felsic intrusive, up-ice  of gold in till anomalies including 1 120 ppb, 938 ppb Au and 3 510 ppb gold in heavy mineral concentrates (1 000 ppb equals 1 g/T).  The survey defined 12 geochemical gold-arsenic-copper anomalies (exceeding the 99.8 centile of IOS Services Geoscientiques regional database which includes more than 25,000 samples in vicinity of Shadow). Anomalous humus assayed up to 45.7 ppb gold, 2700 ppb arsenic and 402 000 ppb copper, which values are considered as highly significant. Highly significant (over 99.8 centile) anomalies were also detected in molybdenum, vanadium, strontium, rare-earths and halogens. The soil sampling program totals 1472 humus samples.  Most of the anomalies are located along the targeted margin of the felsic intrusive and adjacent sedimentary rocks, underlined by a magnetic anomaly and crosscut by late structures. The geological environment suggests a signature for intrusion-related gold mineralization.
